001   : natalie grew up in wiskayok, new jersey, born to frank and vera scatorccio. to escape her violent father and her turbulent household, nat spends her time hanging out with her friends (most notably kevyn tan), often trading mixtapes and nail polish, and listening to new, obscure bands.at fourteen, natalie's father accidentally shoots himself in the head after a violent altercation, and afterwards, her mother feels as much like a ghost as her dead dad does. it's then that nat starts dabbling in weed, molly, acid, booze: anything that's making the rounds at parties.natalie initially joins the girls varsity soccer team as part of a plea deal, rather than face expulsion from wiskayok high, but comes to enjoy every moment she's on the field. she often feels like an outsider amongst her teammates, but grows close to them anyway, and continues to be someone who is always unapologetically herself.

002   : in the fall of 1996, the yellowjackets' plane goes down in the canadian rockies. after escaping the wreckage and burying those killed in the crash, natalie and the team initially struggle to adapt to their new reality, but eventually find an abandoned miner's cabin in the woods. the team scavenges, cannibalises and starves for 19 months until natalie parts from the warring factions the group has splintered into, and traverses a mountain face to enable their rescue.003   :       the yellowjackets are rescued in the spring of 1998, 19 months after their plane crashed in the wilderness. natalie initially goes home to her mother's trailer, but struggles with her grades and gives up on graduation. she distances herself from kevyn and rich, and ghosts most of the team, using her time to dabble in street drugs and sneaking into bars, eventually reconnecting with travis and beginning what turns into a toxic decades long on and off again relationship.feeling adrift and without purpose, natalie gets arrested for underage drinking and driving under the influence, and crashes on friends' couches more than she stays at home.004   :       tbd.

verse 001   :   they were champions.       pre-crash. a new jersey native, natalie spends her days smoking weed and crashing tailgate parties with her friends, and plays as a wing-back for the varsity soccer team, the wiskayok high yellowjackets.verse 002   :   wilderness.       en route to nationals, flight 2525 crashes in the canadian wilderness, leaving the yellowjackets and other survivors stranded, at the mercy of nature, for nineteen months.

verse 003   :   home again.       in the immediate aftermath of the yellowjackets' rescue and return to civilisation, natalie struggles to reconcile her broken home life with her lack of purpose, and falls into a spiral of drugs and slow self destruction. it's not easy to run from the horrific things that transpired in the wilderness, or her part in them.verse 004   :   we brought it back with us.       present day. it's been twenty five years since the yellowjackets were rescued. natalie is out of her most recent stint at rehab, and reconnects with her former teammates after it becomes clear that someone has started snooping into their past.

verse 005   :   natalie lives.       canon divergent, post season 2. during the failed hunt at camp green pine, natalie takes a syringe of fentanyl to the chest that was meant for lisa. ultimately, the dose isn't enough to be lethal, and natalie is revived by paramedics at the scene.verse 006   :   the wilderness is hungry (the hunger games au group verse).       hailing from district 8, natalie is chosen from her district's pool of candidates at the reaping for the 60th annual hunger games.verse 007   :   the wiskayok butcher.       scream / slasher au verse. tbd.
